Ultraframe have complied this manual to explain and translate much of the jargon used in the conservatory industry. We have listed many of the commonplace words and terms used daily in connection with conservatory design and installation.

Made to measure service
Also known as: See 'Bespoke'
A made the measure conservatory describes a unique conservatory which has been specifically designed for a particular house/site situation.
Manhole
Also known as: Inspection chamber
Man size access hole to under ground drainage system.
Marley classic gutter
Also known as: Ogee guttering
Marley guttering is an ornate, PVC moulded guttering system used on Ultraframe Classic roofing systems.
Modular
Also known as: Fixed set/size conservatory
Modular is a term used to describe a product available in 'set; sizes; e.g. Ultraframe Ultralite 500.
Mono-pitch
Also known as: Single pitch, single slope
Lean-to roof, Mediterranean style or sunroom
Mullion
Also known as: Stanchion, frame stiffener
A mullion is the vertical upright in a window frame or a structural support between two frames. Adds structural integrity to the conservatory.
Multi Pitch
Also known as: Pitch Differential
One roof with various rood pitch slopes.
Multiboard
Also known as: Cladding Board
PVCu plain boarding of various thickness (typically 9mm) to cloak-off raised back boxgutter.
