Mr & Mrs Crossman live in a beautiful detached Stamford stone house in Lincolnshire. They had created an at-home gym in their garage but found that it wasn’t the most appealing place to do a workout, particularly in the depths of winter. Looking for an alternative, the couple realised that they had the perfect spot to put a conservatory on the side in an area of unused space on the side of their home which worked well with the flow of the house and had the potential to also be a stunning addition.

After speaking with their local Ultraframe installer, Super Seal of Wisbech, a Glass Roof lean-to conservatory in contemporary black was chosen so the couple could enjoy working out in a light, bright environment while enjoying expansive views of their garden. The Ultraframe Glass Roof is the original conservatory roof system and is still the only conservatory roof to provide built-in trickle ventilation as standard, to ensure optimum ventilation throughout the year. This is especially important in this conservatory as it will prevent condensation when the gym is being used so that it always remains a comfortable environment for working out. Small top light windows at the head of the full height frames are also a quick way to get additional ventilation when working out in the warmer summer months.

The dramatic roof and frame colour contrasts perfectly with the light Stamford stone of their property and the resulting conservatory is a dramatic addition to their home which has created the perfect home gym. The area chosen for the conservatory was a previously unused spot which was not suitable for flowers and shrubs due to being in the shade, making it the perfect location for the new gym.

Super Seal completed all the groundwork and basework ready for construction in 2 days and took just a further 2 days to build the conservatory – so Mr & Mrs Crossman were ‘up & running’ in their new gym in no time at all!
