Architectural Project Manager

Ultraframe are manufacturers of hup! the UK’s leading off site manufactured extension and conservatory conversion building system. Every project at Ultraframe is bespoke and with a long history in conservatories and smaller home improvement projects Ultraframe are now looking for an Architectural Designer or Architectural Technician with a passion for design and detail to help deliver projects with more complexity and to increase design led thinking across our customer base processes.

This role has the potential to build a team as the business grows and the successful applicant will work closely with our influencer architect Laura Jane Clark to achieve their objectives.

Role

Manage

  • Translate architects plans and customer ideas into manufacturable designs ensuring they work on site and achieve Building Regulation Approval.
  • Project Manage the detail of complex projects
    • Liaise with customers to understand the site and their design requirements
    • Work with Ultraframe designers and engineers to ensure that hup! is designed in the most efficient way to meet their requirements
    • Ensure that hup! is designed for easy manufacture and ensure that sufficient quality checks are undertaken prior to dispatch
    • Help customers through any Building Regulation queries before, during and after the build
  • Develop and deliver a Building Regulation Approval assistance service for our customers hup! and solid roof projects.
  • Help customers navigate the Building Warrant process in Scotland, ensuring fast approvals of hup! projects.

Educate

  • Make it easy for Building Inspectors, Architects and Structural Engineers to use hup! technology in their designs.
    • Run CPD
    • Provide the right literature and information in a timely manner
    • Work with the software team to automate outputs required by stakeholders
  • Develop design led training for hup! builders and sales people, enabling them to increase quality of the architecture and design.
  • Improve the internal capability of the order processing teams giving them confidence to suggest design improvements for our customers.

Inspire

  • Understand the capabilities of our products and inspire builders to create design led home extensions through CGI imagery.
  • Bring new products to life with CGI as part of the launch process.
  • Bring design ideas and trends to the business with suggestions of product improvements, new product innovation and configuration improvements.
  • Work with Laura Jane Clark (our celebrity architect) and AI to help builders generate the best possible home extension for the homeowner in terms of design and budget.

Skills/Experience

  • Experience of managing projects through to completion on site
  • Excellent knowledge of Building Regulations across England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland
  • Good presentation skills and confidence
  • Good communication skills and diplomacy
  • Ability to create 3D models in Rhino using imports from AutoCAD or Solidworks.
  • Ability to deliver high quality renders with packages such as Lumion
  • High attention to detail

Business Administration Apprentice

Ultraframe is a market leader in the design and manufacture of conservatory and home extension products. We are currently seeking a motivated Business Administration Apprentice to join our Customer First Team.

Role Overview:

As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in preparing orders for our manufacturing team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating detailed manufacturing instructions using in-house applications
  • Ordering parts for manufacturing through CAD systems
  • Pricing bespoke parts
  • Performing general administrative duties

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong determination, tenacity, and a solid work ethic
  • Proficiency in MS Office and our in-house IT applications (full training provided)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, make independent decisions, and quickly learn new skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service with keen attention to detail

Technical Support Advisor

Ultraframe is a market leader in the design and manufacture of conservatory and home extension products. We are currently seeking a dedicated Technical Support Advisor to join our Customer First Team.

Role Overview:

As a Technical Support Advisor, you will be part of a small, enthusiastic team responsible for addressing all technical queries from Ultraframe’s customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing product information
  • Conducting design feasibility studies
  • Assisting with site installation issues

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Determination, tenacity, and strong negotiation skills to ensure the best outcomes for Ultraframe and our customers
  • Computer literacy, with proficiency in MS Office and our in-house IT applications (full training provided)
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, make independent decisions, and learn new skills
  • Strong problem-solving mindset
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and keen attention to detail

This role is ideal for someone with either hands-on experience or a background in technical support within the home improvements sector looking for a new challenge. It offers a great opportunity to gain invaluable skills and experience.
